With Might Give Out . . .but I won’t give in Tas continues running down that dream - one that seems more and more impossible given trending changes in how music is now valued and the role it plays in people’s lives. Some may even call it a mad dream that he hopes for his new music to find its way to those who still hunger for honest songs born from real lived experiences, crafted and recorded by real musicians really singing and playing real instruments. That said and quoting Cervantes’ Man of La Mancha, “To surrender such a mad dream would itself be an even madder madness!” Getting rich? Becoming famous? Not going to happen. Nor does it matter, and it never did . . . and this songwriter will just keep on writing his songs. . . and dreaming.

With five albums in the last seven years, Cru released Riffin' The Blue on February 3, 2023. The album is produced by Tas who, in addition to his tried-and-true studio stalwarts, enlists solid help from a few others, most notably Mike Zito (courtesy of Gulf Coast Records) and renowned keyboardist, Bruce Katz. Zito puts his guitar stamp on two songs - the album’s opener/title track and on the closer, Memphis Gone. Katz contributes his world-class talent on piano and organ to ten of the album’s eleven songs.
